A tea party is such a lovely time for
elegant ladies to...
put on their finest dresses...
practice their most refined manners...
partake of the lightest delicacies...
and share in amiable conversation. 
There were those who thought the affaira trifle underdone... 
But certainly none could find fault with the appearance of the tea service.
