20 weeks

Yesterday I was 20 weeks

and I wore high heels

and my husband was appointed

as a new deacon at church

(the handsomest one)

and I went to a baby shower

(not mine)

and I ate a lot of food

and I played with my girls.

It was a good day.

Being 3 Means...

staying dry all night

getting myself dressed

singing my ABC's

in whatever order seems right to me

being allowed to attend

Bible Hour at church with the "big kids"

using big, grown-up words; like, disgusting

lots of Raucous Laughter

not screaming

when I get my hair washed

making up lengthy songs

with complex lyrics

helping Mommy unload the dishwasher

I'm so glad she 3, and she's ours.

because mommies can always use a little help

and I happen to be mommy to

the best 22 month old

dryer loader in 6 counties

and it only takes roughly 3 times

the amount of time

it would take me to do it myself

and it produces an immensely proud

and pleased little toddler.

I wouldn't pass it up for anything.
