Do you ever...?

Do you ever look out your window on a sunny morning,

and step out your door to feel 71 degrees and a gentle breeze,

and walk outside to hear the birds twittering,
and the palm fronds rustling,

and stop to pick up the fruit that has fallen from your avocado tree,

and think to yourself, "Gosh, I just wish it would snow!"

~~~
Me neither.
I spent November in Florida at the beach. Came home to Massachusetts and swore this would be my last winter here!
You neglected to mention the lizards that were probably scurrying acoss the path as you walked, but other than that I'm jealous. It's supposed to be 15 -20 below zero here tonight.
I pray for SNOW everyday of Winter...I LOVE it...you don't know what you a missing!!! Seriously...snow ball fights, snow forts, snowshoeing, skiing, sledding...the fun goes on and on...and a cup of hot cocoa after all the fresh air!
Actually, I DO know what I'm missing! I did live in Michigan my whole life, minus the last two years. I am really glad there are people who see all the fun things about winter/snow instead of the negatives. I never wanted to be outside long enough to enjoy all those things because the cold absolutely paralyzes me.
And yes, there are lizards aplenty - but I like them.
I am 100% jealous of your avocado tree.
This post makes me miss my ol' Orlando porch... Instead, this is our bliss:
Ha. This post made me laugh! I love the snow! I never understood why Mom always said they hated Up North Winters. I have a sick baby, who can't go outside and play. I get it now! Enjoy your sunshine. We will see it in May!
...They I saw the comment from 'Yooper.' Made me laugh even more. I think they refer to us a 'trolls.' :-)
Since it is 25 degrees here right now, I'm just a bit jealous.
